[SUGGESTION] In-Game Custom Quest Editor
DON'T KILL ME FOR THE TITLE! WAAAAIT!

Jeez...

Well, the idea would be allowing the players to create custom quests in-game and, once those are done, send them to Capcom so they can say "Hey, it's a good idea" or "Ban this one pls".

The idea comes from seeing this, https://www.reddit.com/r/MonsterHunter/comments/1jma7gs/is_this_normal_what_did_i_get_myself_into/, it's something completely absurd, but as an event (and maybe 2 less Kut-Ku) could fit as an event for some Rathalos special equipment.

Other ideas could be having to fight a gravios that it's basically a minion (Like the Uragaan quest in MH3, that you arrived to the zone where he normally spawns and the first thing you asked was "Where TF is he?".

OBVIOUSLY, as said, it would need to pass Capcom's filter, it wouldn't be just "Hey, I've done a quest" and simply put it, it needs to be coherent, not only when it comes to the quest itself, but also to the rewards, you can't just put 15 stacks of 200 artian parts or things like that.

How do you feel the idea as a way to give the game a bit more juice when it comes to events?

Most devs will not want to look into errors in code/scripts from other people.
Try that with devs who support mods by default.

On the one hand, I welcome the idea very much.

On the other hand it seems almost meaningless at some point, considering you are supposed to get good quests from Capcom with meaningful challenges and rewards.

In older installments I would want such a custom quest editor for sure. With Monster Hunter Wilds we kinda have something like that in form of field surveys and the investigations we can create. It would just need some additional tweaking.

I am not sure by the end of the day, though it is a good idea. Especially with multi stage scenarios as quests.

More than errors/scripts, would be something created by the devs, a tool that gives a certain amount of possibilities, so essentially you have certain bounds, it's not that you program it from scratch.

Even more work for no pay. Then you would probably need to hire 10 more people who do nothing but post/email the top 10 faq all day long for half a year, without even reading the questions otherwise you need 20x the people and still no one to answer them.

All this can be done unofficially by some dude with too much time on his hand. Just have a website dedicated to such a mod. No need for capcom to get involve.
Japan has a no fun allowed type of mentality and Nintendo is by far the king of no fun allowed and Capcom follows closely behind.

The idea it's turning that into something official. Also, we are talking about having someone that checks the quests to see if those are coherent when it comes to drops/monsters to slay, I don't think it's something really hard to do xD

It's something I really don't understand, I mean, I can understand that they don't like their games being altered, but there has to be a point where you say "Hey, let them cook", look Skyrim, they literally got AN ENTIRE EXPANSION made by a fan xD
