Allow low level investigations to drop materials

There are some materials that, due to how hard they are to get, make farming something almost agonizing, wouldn't be a bad idea to allow the low level investigations to drop materials aswell, maybe not to the point of dropping 5-6 stacks of materials like you sometimes see, but maybe 1-2 and sometimes 3 wouldn't be a bad addition, atleast when we need to farm low level mats we won't need to sacrifice a lamb every time we kill a boss hoping we get one drop.

The thing it's that there are mats like Nerscylla's Claw that are hyperhard to obtain, you need to break a specific part of the body, part almost unreacheable most of the time, and when it comes to drop rate, it's also pretty scarce. For this type of things, we should be allowed to obtain mats from low rank investigations.

every item you want is actually just a reason to play the game, the easier you make it to get something the less reasons you have to play it

iam sick of all the casualization bs just cause ppl buy a hyped game, just to say "ye iam playing the newest ♥♥♥♥" even if they dont really want to play the game itself

yea in that case do as the person above said, use partbreaker skills and do everything you can to aim for that specific part, also using different weapons might help as well, like ones that can hit over a large area quickly, my Dual blades have helped break parts easier that way

Partbreaker 3 with specific weapons is your best bet here.

It's not my first game, but there are some mats that are hard AF to get like the one I mentioned early, mostly because Nerscylla doesn't stop moving and the claw most of the time remains "hidden", so not only it's hard to arrive, but also it's hard to hit.

I recommend using SnS since it's a fast-hitting weapon and comes with a free moveset (shield bash combo) that ignores hard objects. Also since you mentioned that you're having a hard time because it keeps moving, you should try using traps to keep it in place.

It's also worth mentioning that Nerscylla Claw has 15% of appearing in Target Rewards and 20% from Carve/Capture. So you would usually obtain more claws by looking for a high-reward investigation instead of forcing yourself to make a certain build just to obtain 1 claw per fight.

If it helps, one helmbreaker + release combo with partbreaker iii is usually enough to break the claw if you're using long sword.

Oh yeah, one method that might help is to buy those weapons off Santiago. Change your support ship settings to Misc. and buy all of his weapons since his pool includes Nerscylla weapons.

EDIT: I just cross-checked, and he does have all 9 Nerscylla weapons, which will save you from having to farm 18 claws. This guide has the full list if you're curious:
