Orange Blast Element?
Has anyone encountered the number next to your element changing color? Crafted some Blast DB last night and they came out with the regular white text, but after slotting a Blast 3 gem in it turned orange.

Curious if anyone else has noticed anything similar, like Thunder turning yellow or any other element changing another color?

If it's white, you're hitting a bad hitzone. Yellow is a good hitzone, orange is when you're hitting a wound on the monster which can also be identified by the number having 4 indicators around it

you mean it changed colors on the weapon description? sounds like either a glitch or a random color change to show you made it stronger
I've seen someone with a 1k dragon hammer with the same orange number on it but there's no indicator for what that means in-game, i don't think.

To rule out the above comment, the hammer was ss'd *after* the damage adjustment had been confirmed so i don't believe it's for that.. unless it is and its bugged to stay like that regardless.
There is a cap to how much you can increase element/status, the change in colour indicates you've hit that cap.
If the elemental damage number turns orange in stats you are over the cap. Weapons have a hard cap on how much element they can have. If you want to have as much as possible without wasting deco slots you want to keep it just below that cap.

Not during a fight. In the menu, in equipment info

Yes, and doesn't it usually show green for an improvement? This turned from white to orange.

Oh, interesting, I didn't know that. What's strange is the number turns orange at 190, but it goes back to white above that. The weapon I crafted had 120 Blast on it before I slotted a Blast 3 gem, and after it had 190 (orange). On my other Blast weapon I have over 200 Blast and the number is white.

Orange means you're at cap. Element/status has a limit

Each weapon has a different cap. Usually lower base value will have lower cap.

For example, my Long Sword has a base 150 blast, and slotting Blast III increases it to 230. With Coalescence III, it should have increased to 264... but instead it was capped to 240 and indicated with orange color.
