Hmm you found someone who says it's not fine, I found plenty of people who said it's fine, just that I can get over my biases and accept that subjective opinions may differ and I don't look to confirm my biases, I am not insecure enough to need that.
Wish you'd be able to accept that people may have different experiences/standards/expectations than you, that you'd be able to realize wilds isn't for you, that it won't change for you, and move on.
You probably spent more time in these forums ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the game than I've played it lol, you post hundreds of times everyday, and you don't even play it. I don't understand what your end goal is.
You don't really serve the interests you're trying to defend obsessively posting about it on steam forums on the board of a game you don't even own.
delete shader.cache2 from monhun folder, boot game to recompile shaders.
Didn't fix the issue for me. Halfway through a hunt, crashed again. I did read somewhere just now that it could be caused by borderless window, which I did switch to this afternoon. I'll set it back to FS and try another hunt.
Think about it. What could be the problem here? The game, or maybe something on your end?
Maybe next time think about what you did before it started to become unstable and undo your changes first.
I come in here in good faith ASKING what could be the cause. Turns out, the windowed setting wasn't even in this game that I changed. Borderless is the only option besides bordered window. So unless you plan to offer some advice or at least leave a reasonably respectable answer there are plenty of other threads to troll in. So no, I didn't actually change anything to cause the crashes. So next time you want to be "mY pC bEtTeR!" do it elsewhere. If I were the only person crashing, I would assume it's on my end. Here's a spoiler, I'm not.
same crash again and again and again @@
just wait capcom fix it
I am open to having my opinion challenged and seeing their data.
Wouldn't that just force it to re-optimize my shaders? I've already had that happen after my driver update and it makes the game look terrible. I've got a good specs and have been running this game on Ultra settings for +70 hours. I only just started crashing today.
Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900K, 3200 Mhz, 16 Core(s), 24 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 32.0 GB

Or you play this game at 1080p@60hz.
Recompiling shaders shouldn't be making the game look different. If recompiling your shaders causes graphical issues then there seems to be something else going. All compiling shaders does is pre-process visual effects so the game doesn't need to do it on the fly and cause lagging and hitching. If you are using REframework, update it with one of the more recent nightly builds available on their github.
Something changed. Either the game update, a video card driver update, or a piece of software running in the background. If you use overclocking/monitoring software like afterburner/rtss, they are known to cause crashing and odd behaviour in some games.
Edit: Try validating files via steam and see if it does anything
I just tried it and will update whether it works or now. I'm desperate at this point.
Can confirm this doesn't fix it as I crashed again. No other game crashes in my library besides this one, so it's not a hardware issue. I suppose I'll just have to wait until post update on April 4th. Hopefully they've optimized this game a bit better by then.
