Is the ingame text chat broken or something?

I notice people ingame like utilizing stickers to communicate, but... rarely any chatting via text. When I type out my text or use a custom shoutout line, I RARELY get a response. I swear, sometimes when I'm playing, I hear the "pop" or "meow" sound effects going off when someone talks in chat, but nothing shows up in the chat log/notifications.

Okay, I know people don't really tend to talk in a middle of combat, but I communicate usually when we're not in combat like riding on seikret and chasing the monster.

So yeah. is the ingame chat is actually broken, my game setting or pc borked it, me going crazy, or is anyone else experiencing this?

I get the same thing.

Bring up the chat window and type in something... then after pressing ENTER I see that my chat was sent into the box... but there is nothing on the chat screen where you see the stickers come up.

I sorta just gave up communicating with other players in the end. Game honestly doesn't need it, 8/10 players I see in my games are Chinese so it isn't exactly like we would be having a conversation anyway.

LOL for some reason after so many monster hunter game... they are still bad at making an ingame chat that actually works... all the chat log are clutter with useless thing after useless thing so people don't read them too much
