If more people could play, more people would play, but every normal person is DONE. I've just hit around 100hrs( a lot on pause, hehe) and probably could have quit 40 hrs ago. The only thing left to do is trying new weapons to see how they compare. Otherwise, once you've beat a monster you beat him. Beating him 50X is pointless for most people.

Well. When everyone's played 1-200 hours already like you have, OP. On a game that focuses on PVE. Not PVP. They will eventually run out of fresh content to take part in.

Kinda weird people squeeze over a hundred hours out of a game and then complain 'It's dead'. The only games that keep hundreds of thousands of players after a month are popular PVP games. Or things like BG3 that encourage a lot of replayability.
I didn't play the game for 200 hours, I have a habit of alt-tabbing out of boring games and doing something else. I'm around 135 HR if that helps.

Lot's of games have kept that many after a month. World kept over 200k. Elden Ring over 450k. 430k for Palworld.
Elden ring was a MASSIVE Open World game with a lot to do and encouraged replayability. It was also. a PVP game.

Palworld was a large scale PVE Survival game which does now have. PVP.

You just proved my point. PVP games are generally the only games that survive with mass amounts of players after a month.

It's a weekend. The loss of 80k players from previous saturday, from 386k to 308k so around 20% loss in a week

to be fair if you reach 100h you have done all you want.
so we just wait for the TU1. then maybe we can do some new mosnters. get new gear. do the new event quests.
atm there is just nothing to do.
but it was the same in world and rise.

World lost less than 40% of it's peak concurrent in the first month. Wilds is going to be around 80%.

elden ring wasnt a game you could finish in a month if you had other things going on, same with world after iceborne was added

Dropped from 10th most sold on steam to 11th.
After a month, its doing nearly twice as well as World was.
It still has 20k viewers on twitch.

Much of the core audience is going to stay. Ironic.

The irony is that all the casuals that Capcom sacrificed the veterans for have left. It's the core audience that will be stuck with a game not made for them.
