Game keeps changing settings back
So, does anyone else have an issue with the game changing some settings back to how they were before? Because I keep changing the upscaling to be balanced and volumetric fog to be on low, and made sure to save before closing the game. And EVERYTIME I close and reopen the game, fog keeps being set back to it's highest setting, and upscaling keeps going back to quality. DoSo again, has anyone else gotten these issues, or know of a fix for the game to stop resetting my own damn settings, cause this is getting annoying by this point.

And no, it's not NVidia, I uninstalled that a looooooong time ago when it started sucking.

Did you download a config.ini?

Initially I did, but got rid of the config when I realized there was basically no change, and just swapped back to the original config. By this point, in terms of mods, I just got cosmetic's, like hair options and the like. Nothing that really messes with game settings, since it seems like messing with configs and the such doesn't help. And yeah, made sure the config was set back to read only

If you set your config to read only, the game can't change the config, meaning if you change settings in game, the game can't save the changes for the next time you boot the game.

#-might be a result of that

early after release a lot of people have had similar issues, due to downloaded config files being set to read-only. Did you check that too?

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CHEERS! Went to config and had it read, started game, changed in-game settings, saved, and it's staying when both read and read only are on!

Protip: Maybe give a bit more advice on why your argument is valid before commenting. Otherwise it just makes you look like a corporate bootlicker to a company that published a game that isn't properly optimized. Nobody likes that.

You probably downloaded the garbage "FPS FIX" from that doodoo on Nexus.

Literally all it does is puts all settings to ultra low and makes the settings read only AKA you cant change them.

I beg to all of you to not download that settings.ini because its not a miracle fix and its just a placebo, the guy got endorsed so much for doing absolutely nothing, it takes 10 seconds to do a diff check to see if the guy added some extra code to fix stuff but he did NOT.

All in all, f that guy.
