not all weapons have it, irrc. HBG certainly doesnt. HBG gets a cool super dash, though.

IF you have the setting enabled where it shows you your available moves in the top right corner of the screen, it will tell you how to do it when you perfect block.
It depends on the weapon. For example, Sword and Shield can do a Counter Slash that's not anything powerful. On the other hand, Gunlance, after a Perfect Block, allows you to use Wyvern's Fire in the Fast Charge Mode, and the inputs for Counter Slash and Wyvern's Fire are different. And to add to all that, Heavy Bowgun has nothing offensive after a Perfect Block except a better Sidestep, which is a long manoeuvre to move away.

I recommend you go to the Training Zone and activate the top right guide to see all the buttons and what you can do after Perfect Blocking with each weapon.
I know it for Xbox. If you're using SnS then it's Y, but you have to let go of the guard button first or else you'll just go into a sliding strike. Usually for stuff like this it's Y. You should go into the training area and adjust the training settings, put the dummy into "smash" mode (so it hits but stays still) and try to get a perfect block and then see what options pop up for you after. It's fast so you'll probably need a few tries to see if you have anything.

Love the sidestep with evade window though. You just dance to a different country lol

The Counter Slash has a MV of 60, it's one of SnS's strongest single hits. Even the Charged Slash only has a MV of 40 (+25 for the Scaling Slash follow-up). Edit: Spinning Reaper has a MV of 65 and the buffed Charged Chop has (18+28+28+28+28+28) for 158 total if you do an unbuffed one it's (18+14+14+14+14+14) for 88 total MV

Otherwise, I completely agree with everything else.

Edit 2: Lance has 3 Perfect Guard follow ups. Y for a weak but quick Return Thrust that restarts the combo, B for a slower but stronger Payback Thrust that chains into a finisher (like Triple Thrust), and Y+B for the strongest but slowest Retribution Thrust that chains into a finisher. These can all be performed after a Power Guard too with Retribution Thrust being buffed to Grand Retribution Thrust which scales with the power of the attack blocked.
