Black screen on the hunt
Hello, I'm having an issue with MH Wilds. I changed my graphics card yesterday — I previously had an RTX 2070. Apart from occasional FPS drops, things were fine. I just got an Asus PRIME GeForce 5070 12GB. I uninstalled the old drivers, installed the latest update from the Nvidia website, and launched the game. At first, everything was working fine, but then during a hunt, the screen went black. I could still hear the game and even move around, but the screen stayed black. If I press Alt + Tab and switch to another app while leaving the game running in the background, I can see the game again (but I can’t move or do anything since I’m not actually on it).

I disabled vertical sync, NVIDIA Reflex low latency mode, upscaling, and even anti-aliasing. After a few hunts, I thought the issue was fixed, but then the black screen happened again — so now I’m totally lost x)

It has been an issue with the 50 series. It's on Nvidia. If you're on windows you can press ctrl windows shift b and it should reset your graphics drivers, but it might only fix in temporarily.

Alright, I hope there’ll be a fix soon! ^^ I read that disabling MPO might help could that be a solution? If nothing works and I get another black screen, I’ll try Ctrl Windows Shift B to reset the graphics drivers.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Not the exact same issue but for me the screens go black, all the fans start spinning max speed and mh wilds crashes.

The screens will go back normal after a few seconds and I can use the pc except I can’t launch mh wilds anymore and the fans keep spinning untill I manually restart my pc.
Using rtx 5070 ti.
