What’s the point past Rank 100 ?

Does anything unlock or increase once you pass rank 100? What’s the point of increasing your rank apart from bragging writes?

There has to be be another unlock somewhere, because you can't craft the 3-slot 1-skill decos at HR100. Either that or the devs were full of ♥♥♥♥ when they said you could craft all single-skill decos.

Oh don’t get me wrong I’m still having fun it’s just that i want to start a new character and don’t wanna miss out on anything that unlocks after rank 100 is all.

Collect stuff.

Other people its about getting the Best in Slot, which is easily done with just purple items, rather than the gold tier items.

Collect Achievements.

Play around with mods, can be very fun with a high end PC, cause game looks good.

Just as there is no point in playing MH if the only thing you work for is unlocking all achievements.

But I admit this is a niche opinion. And it is also true that Wilds has problems (the state of its porting on pc as the most glaring one, probably).
All in all, sending a monster back with a perfectly timed counter with an IG, is what makes Wilds worth it. For me at least (for now: there are tons of weapons to master still XD).
Levels are… just silly numbers on a card I’m earning in the meantime.

I don’t think your opinion is a niche as you believe it to be, just a much less vocalized one compared to the opposite because those people are in search of a more tangible reason to keep playing. Whereas you are satisfied just enjoying the adventure itself and don’t need anything more than the fun that comes along with the journey.

I don’t think either approach is wrong, it just comes down to different people having different tastes and reasons for playing. I find myself somewhere in the middle personally, but leaning in the direction of your view.

In rise, some of the post launch quests added required a hr rank above 100.

It makes little sense to make a new character as there are no character stats. Just pick a different weapon and replay the assignments.

But the answer is post 100 is for master rank when the dlc comes.
