Game takes a long time to start up

Usually when booting the game it will take about 90-120 to launch. Sometimes longer. All of my other steam games launch within a few seconds. Anyone else having this issue? Win11, 9800x3D, 4080.

this game does take a bit longer to load for me than others but its more like 30-40 seconds as opposed to 2 minutes. I think it has to do with the DRM it uses.

I just tested the start times for some games on my pc:

MH Wilds 1:35
Helldivers 2 0:15
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth 0:06
Marvel Rivals 0:15

Also, my storage is a WD Black SN850X.

Yeah my games seems like it has crashed at every start up but it just slow as ♥♥♥♥ for some reason. I just have a black window that says not responding for like 3 or 4 minutes then the game just starts as normal. Its weird as ♥♥♥♥.

Perhaps you stored it in a wrong disk, the game highly recommend SSD C: Drive

yeah it takes quite a long time to load i havent timed it yet but its rather looooooooooooooooooong

running it on a potato teamgroup mp34 tho

It takes 11 seconds for me to load on a PICE 4.0 m2 ssd and also a 9800x3d. Now this info probably doesn't help in any way. I'm using a Samsung 990 pro which should be barely better than yours.

yeah i timed it just now its on 1min 25secs on a teamgroup mp34

weird thing disk activity wasnt going up much at all, its just 20% cpu usage being consumed lol, with 4 cores being heavily loaded only

cpu is 13600kf btw

yeah its a slow start up time for me aswell but its not too much of a gripe since its not slow loading into my character and fast traveling.

Check if the issue persists if you start Steam in offline mode.

I reinstalled Windows and the game boots in about 10 seconds now.

How it's taking you 1:35 to launch is crazy. I'm on a weaker rig (not by much) and it takes maybe 10 seconds for it to launch.

i installed a new gpu from 3080 into a 9070xt and somehow the game boots instantly now, no other hardware changes nothing else done other than the title update lol
