CB: guard point versus perfect guard

Does the perfect guard have elemental bursts when you have your shield charged? It feels like it does, but I can't Quite be certain. I feel like I have gotten a KO from a normal block before.

If that's the case, what's the point of the guard point? It feels like perfect guard builds up clashes better than guard points do. Are guard points just easier to do mid combo?

You can't even enter Savage axe from a guard point... That's dumb. It has the same timing as a perfect guard. They both trigger offensive guard

You answered your own question. They're just defensive points during the combo.

GPs have been reduced to mid-attack safety nets, which is quite the fall from grace for what was once the weapon’s premier defensive option.

GP is quicker than PG, if u re in middle of transform ,and monster coming at u in next sec , dont use PG instead of GP is quicker
