And hands down: Alma being allowed to make decisions if a monster is allowed to get hunted, or not, is just BS writing.
Having some HUB, getting told that there is a monster at X location which is problematic? Yeah, that's how a Hunter should be used.
bro doesnt know how the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ guild works for monster hunter...
Alma has us murder monsters for no greater reason than they got too close to the child she willingly brought into the area. She is incompetent.
"Yeah, the guild, aka me alone who has no way to contact the guild, allows you to murder that aggressive monster" - after attacking it multiply times making you the reason why it's aggressive in the first place.
This is what literally happens all the time in real life. Humans keep building cities and houses in habitats where wildlife is located. Wildlife is in the area and might attack cause you're dumb ass is literally in it's home. We kill animal cause aggressive.
Outside of a 'lore' reason, it's a fancy way of letting the game give you all/more of the rewards from hunting a monster, unlike in World where when you kill a monster on expedition you just get carves and maybe an extra drop once you finish. Here in Wilds, you get the fancy mission start fanfare whenever you make a conscious decision to fight a monster.
I just assume the Guild wants proper paperwork on what you're out there making hats out of. Though I would have loved a story arc of Guild Knights showing up to investigate the goings on.
The base camps for each region are connected, but the transition between them, like the one between the Wastes and Forest requires a loading screen.
I HATE this feature. It ruins any reason to mindlessly hunt spam in a single expo.
Thats not true. Its a loading hallway, but you can go between maps on foot without reloading.
