(Suggestion) why the multiplayer experience is kinda bad
I'm HR 260 now, played for over 200+ hours. Loving the game, not loving the multiplayer. I've played online for about half of my time and I've not made a friend that I actually played with yet.

If anything MH: Rise did well, was to keep party members in the same group after a hunt. You would join THEIR lobby, switch around and do quests/missions. And yet again, we end up with an even worse system than World.

Let us choose, to stay in lobbies with people and go on repeated hunts again! Let us have an actual list of friends we meet ingame. Let community be center, instead of this "You failed to join the lobby" experience where people are just sniping lobbies and never stay around to connect with each other.

Monster Hunter Rise at the bare minimum aced this aspect of the game. And the only people that want to be friends are low-rank players I help out with double hunting horn.

Because it feels like a one night stand after you drunk too much.

You are together for action, you don’t “talk” you just want to ”it” to be done as “satisfying” as possible, it’s even more interesting if it’s a “party” of 4 and after its done you want to be alone again.

It's baffling how they made it worse than World.

Open-world Monster Hunter sounds soooo cool in theory, but it's Crapcom after all.

I haven't stopped reading the post this fast. How? And more importantly - how?

Haha, quite accurate a one-night stand simulator. No matchmaking, no ability to easily add people as friends, or to see their profiles.

Currently it feels designed like a honor system, where only the best players with the most reknown get to experience connection with others. And at my Hunter Rank, I feel I do get the fangirls, but I remember none of their names. (to keep your metaphor going).

Sick leave, staying at home gave me a lot of time. I've seen hunters with a HR over 300-400 already. They play 16 hours a day.

how do u even see HR? do u just check their hunter card or profile or something cuz i noe world u cud see it in the end of quest card but not here
They should just delete the story(or make it an entirely separate instance) and add back hunter hubs with multiplayer quest lists.

Lotsa successful games still just have hubs. Like Payday or Deep rock.

Monster hunter was cooler when you could b-line to hunter hub solo and farm sets early game.

No, the story I like a lot. But considering you can't replay story missions. I'm talking endgame lobbies as well. Or do it like western games do it, and force lobby members to wait for the host to finisht their story-related cutscene (watch it with them), until the fight starts. The real endgame of Monster Hunter is 90% investigations and events. That feature also doesn't work as intended.

I'm in a server with 30 people, and half of the names I can't read because they are Japanese symbols. No way I'm going to remember who's who. And joining others is tricky because the hunts are over so quickly.

So the best scenario, is for all hunter to start in the same lobby. Start the hunt at the same time, and make a choice THEMSELVES, to stay or leave. But stay by default. This is how I met 8+ people in Rise and we played together almost every day. It was amazing. And honestly the only reason I put 300+ hours into Rise/Sunbreak.

You don't understand.

The focus on story IS WHY the multiplayer is borked, This started in World when they started using such long and cinematic cutscenes and they haven't solved the problem yet.
MH multiplayer was PEAK when the entire game took place in a hub world with a list of quests.

Like it or not- the story ruined mutliplayer.
All these things you want already existed before this game and were removed to allow for the story quests.

From what I've learned, is that Rise has a different development team.

And like I said, it ain't that difficult to design a system where people are forced to watch a cutscene if they join a lobby of another person. It would have fixed most of it, and people won't bother with Assignment missions at some point either way.

Like I said, 90% of this game is investigations at some point.

One feature would fix 90% of the issues, and that is the option to stay in the same group, after a hunt. The story has little to nothing to do with it.

Like, I'm okay with this, probably because I actually have friends I've had for decades playing with me. I don't play monhun to socialize, I play monhun to hunt monsters. I do so with friends I've made beyond monster hunter.

Am often playing support builds, I don't want to be stuck in party with people I don't know that will pretend to be my friend because I support and feel bad when I wanna leave.

This is like the people who complain people aren't social in instance runs on FFXIV. I'm here for a purpose, not to hear your thoughts on the latest patch ? I'll probs never see you again bubs and am fine with that.

If you wanna make friends, hang out in communities, and make friends there, eventually these people will pick up games you like, and that's how decade old online friendships slowly build.

Your argument is as follows:

City implements a new ban on 60% of all cars in the city and you are like

"I'm okay with that, I don't have a driver license anyway"

And then you belittle me, as my opinion has no impact on your life. You definitely live in a city, because no way you lost your humanity outside of one.

- Non argument, try again.
