Also while you can twirl your joystick around the only inputs that matter are up and down. a circle will include both of these but its much faster to just mash them directly than do circles.
I agree about the controller abuse, always makes me wince when i hear the joystick banging on the plastic.
Also agree that the fish should react better to the bait, i think sometimes a fish will just be bugged so if it doesnt go for the bait after like 5 attempts just give up and reset.
I find that alot of the time due to perspective i need to aim behind the fish, if i aim directly at it my lure lands short and its too far for the fish to notice it.
was harder to get the speartuna ls than any other weapon xD
its the only part of the game that requires a little bit of skill where you don't have your overpowered cat or mount to save your worthless ass. Its either you get it or you don't
but its still poorly made the lack of information and feedback as you do certain things in the mini game just suck ass and tbh once you work out what you are meant to do its super easy just not fun!
I said the same thing when i first started fishing whoppers for the achievements and side quests. Why is this mini game harder than fighting the monsters in a monster hunting game? But yes, the one thing i hated the most was the point of view you had to use when fishing. They put the camera right behind you when you are going to throw your line out. I guess it is "realistic" but i would undershoot it then have to redo it constantly to get them to bite. Also, without ranger, your line will break if you mess up once or twice. Speartunas love to jump so you have to understand the jumping direction/slam down mechanic or else you are never getting that GS.
