Trap duration
Is it just me, or does it feel like the traps you can place last a much shorter time compared to World?

The thunderbug trap seems like it only holds monsters in place for a few seconds. OK if you want to capture but awful for distracting a monster mid-combat.

In previous games trap length would depend on the state of the monster and would last longer if the monster was exhausted and shorter if the monster was in rage.

Haven't tested this in wilds but I'm assuming it's more or less the same.

They also had diminishing returns so if your palico/teammate uses one, expect the next one to have less duration.

Shock traps also usually have some kind of gimmick for thunder monsters, like charging zinogre.
And Gypceros being inmune to electricity (and Shock Traps) due to its rubbery hide,

They were absolute master trolls with this in Dos, taking a Gypceros quest and doing the subquest would give ez shock trap as additional supply.

Lol what a slap I'm the face, that's awesome though!

I have a personal grudge against these guys for stealing my gourmet bbq spit in freedom 2.. like right after I finished saving for it. I assumed I'd get it back, but nope.
Palico's shock trap has a much shorter duration than the Hunter's.
