It's not dead, it's currently #5 in active players on Steam with ~115,000 players and ~316,000 24hr peak as I type this.

I see these troll topics when it comes to big game releases all of the time and it's extremely disingenuous to ask why a game has lost X number of players compared to its peak near release and claim that it's "dead". The more popular the game, the sharper the decline as people finish it and move on in the weeks/months that follow. It's extremely rare, even in the live service space to retain an active player base over a significant span of time that
is anywhere close to where it peaked at launch.
no im saying the franchise is dead due to the repeated problems and doubling down on things we complained about in past games ! seems capcom do not give a ♥♥♥♥ about its fans and are trying to push into the western market for children hence the dumbing down of the main title the mobile phone games the netflix cartoon the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ holly wood movie lol they are trying to become the next Pokemon rather then look after the IP

rise was also super popular so many fans had copium and said its the best thing ever the combat soo good ! the game is basically dead in my region i cant find any one playing ! i can jump into worlds right now and find 100`s of hunts to join!

wilds will do the exact same as rise coz it has no staying power its fairly a trash product and after all the fanbioys and people living on hype from content creators dies of wilds will fade away just like rise !

I was answering OP, not you. I didn't read any of your posts and I'm not sure why you're replying to me as if we were in the middle of a conversation.

I was talking factual numbers and pointing out OP's disingenuous statements. You're giving your opinion about Wilds and the franchise in general which while I respect, I disagree with and couldn't care less about. It does seem a bit strange to label the entire franchise dead though when two of the three most recent entries have completely blown the sales figures of all of the others out of the water by a huge margin.

and i am entering the discussion and saying you are wrong ! the numbers of wilds sales means little and reflects more on past titles as people purchased the game due to past games success ! the numbers you want to look at are returning players long lasting player counts and the fact not my opinion is worlds is the most replayed most returned to title out of the whole franchise ! gu being a close second !
I did pretty much everything worth doing, my guy is maxed out and just farming tempered arkveld, I'll play again when the next update comes out.

Maybe it is just me but I feel it isn't very fair to blame the game on unrealistic expectations. It would seem too many younger players these days want that Fortnite drip feed so their TikTok attention spans can get their daily dopamine hit.

This is not a live service game, there is no Battle Pass.... they never intended for you to play this game for 900 hours as a casual and be seeing new content every week.

If you look at my Playtime I have over 100hrs in Wilds already. I work full time so I only get to play weekends and at night after the kids are down.

Here is a small list of some popular games and there play times based on how serious you wanted to invest into the game......What I notice is that on average if you sink your teeth into any of those games you will get 100+hrs out of them.

Now we can argue some of that time is bloat since the content in some of those games is literally just finding things out in the world like hidden packages. In MH Wilds case it is just raw hunting for most of the content so that works in Wilds favor.

Overall I think people should maybe reassess the content and playtime you get from this SINGLE PLAYER GAME<------ that has an online mode.
If you got 100+ hours out of this game and are saying it lacks content.... maybe accept you are the one being unrealistic here.

It's funny how people like you can twist things around in their own head to make any sort of nonsense narrative they want out of it...

You can pound your feet, lie to yourself, and bury your head in the sand all you want, but it won’t change the fact the World took the franchise to new heights of success and Wilds took it a step further.

i get what your saying but MH does have live service aspects to it its not a single player game with online features its a online game with the option for single player its always been this way the devs straight up say they are surprised peo[lle play it solo ! for the longest time they ahve tried to push the games into MMO territory hell they even made it a actually MMO at one point !they have always treid to push the login bonus and bs live events ! seasons rotating maps and monsters ! always these features sucked and have been complaiend about !

the devs are not making the game we love they simply ahd a few good mistakes they do not understand their own IP and even came across the concept for the title by making a fantasy game that sucked ! monster hunter was originally meant to be a fantasy tittle with mages and wizards and magic lololollol

lololol same type of defence was said by players in rise lol and guess what the least replayed quickest to die of game was lololol
Akemua Mar 24 @ 6:38pm
Because, despite all the "veterans" (lol) talking about the good ol days with World and previous games, where they racked up hundreds of hours; it was accumulated through months/years of playing on and off.

Virtually none of them sat down every day and only played MH to get 600+ hours out of it.

They played till end game, and then occasionally hopped on. That's literally what is happening right now.

It's not an MMO. It's not a live-service game. It's not a competitive PVP game.
