I stopped playing due to random crashes. 90% of which were in a cutscene like the armorer, or right after. will wait for patches if that even happens.

I stopped playing because i was getting hard PC freezes where i had to shut down, sometimes it takes 30 minutes, other times 8 hours, graphics settings don't seem to matter nor frame generation. It baffles me i can play helldivers 2 maxed settings with my pc acting as a space heater but Wilds, low settings while running cold grinds everything to a halt.

I'll probably try to play more on TU1 but honestly it's burning me out looking for solutions.

except semantics isn't a super power, and the statement stands unless you'd like to post active playstation numbers

No it doesn't. You were just wrong. You misinterpreted it.

Turns out. When you remove all the reason the monster hunter game is called a monster hunter game, you tend to lose your player base pretty fast! There's no grind. There's no end game. There's no reason to continue playing besides for fighting the SINGLE monster you want to fight for the best weapons in the game. Everyone reached the end game and realized the game has no sustenance
personally i would say challenge, im no vet of monster hunter but I started with world and played though rise, but ive found that while this installment is by far the funnest of the 3 its also the easiest, i only carted maybe a couple time in the story and those really were just at jin cause i couldn't figure out how to survive the 1 shot, other than that i haven't had much difficulty, i remember in world i had to stop and grind to beat nergie but i didn't have to grind once in wilds unless i wanted specific gear, teostra kicked my ass over and over, the closest ive come to that challenge is tempered gore magala, anyways great game really hoping they up the difficulty with the new title updates

Hammer, meet nail.
This is kind of expected with most games. People play them and then move on. After the initial hype the player count plummets. World lost 3/4 of it's active playerbase in a month because people finished the game.

I finished the game and do not wish to only play monster hunter for the next year. Thats the case for most people.

The game was good and players not being obssessed with no lifing it doesnt make it not good
its a ♥♥♥♥ game and capcom have turned monster hunter into a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke !

When your endgame consists of grinding temp arkveld to make a perfect build that has zero utilities in such an easy game, this is more than expected. If the April patch is as shallow as the core game, the drop will be hot.
It could have 20 times more variety and drop will still be big. Most new players went "beat story, open all progression stuff and leave" never even cared for making better build past just enough to kill lol

Game is too easy.

Nergi had little more actual hp than arkveld here, and generally besides 1-2 moves hurt as much as ark which can comfortably 2-3 shot. After GU grind worlds story was me dying once on Xeno jiva and only after that. Nothing killed me or felt on the brink of fail as it does here. Genuinely pirate base Wolrd and actually try temp elders vs temp gore and dare to say they were actually harder lel

nergigante was killing mofo`s non stop hell their was guides to beat him with 4 bowguns and cluster ammo because people struggled to beat him ! when later content came out nerg became a bit of a joke then ruiner nerg stepped in and started ruining fools again their is literally memes made about this ! and know this if you didn't play at launch worlds is a very different game now! icebounre was a step in the wrong direction and the franchise has continued down the dark path ever since!
I know this is a bait topic but...

It's not dead, it's currently #5 in active players on Steam with ~115,000 players and ~316,000 24hr peak as I type this.

I see these troll topics when it comes to big game releases all of the time and it's extremely disingenuous to ask why a game has lost X number of players compared to its peak near release and claim that it's "dead". The more popular the game, the sharper the decline as people finish it and move on in the weeks/months that follow. It's extremely rare, even in the live service space to retain an active player base over a significant span of time that
is anywhere close to where it peaked at launch.
