Alluring Pelt needs a buff
I tried multiple games to go as "a tank" using alluring pelt, since it says that allows you to generate more aggro, but on all the hunts even after smacking him to death, the monster didn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about me being there, what's the point of a passive that allows you to be the center of atention if the monster doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about you even with the passive on?

Disclaimer: The idea was to "tank" the monster and try to block/fight the boss as much as possible while the rest smacked his ass, i'm using debuff weapons like paralisis/poison for extra utility.

Yeah I can't even tell if alluring pelt is working or not.
The worse part of all it's that the vest now stops working if you attack, so you can't abuse it to try and secure the aggro, 1 hit and time to be ignored again xDD
idk why they made it a mantle when it was a skill in rise, i guess they didn't want it to waste a deco slot but i feel like wasting your mantle on it is worse, especially when it doesn't work all that well.
The mantle was perfect in MH World, you equip it, it works until it goes poof, right now it's better to use the corrupting one or the one that heals.

My friend was wearing it and T. Arkveld did not give two ♥♥♥♥♥ about him, just kept chasing me down and attacking only me.

Something isn't right.
I assume they made it so when you use the passive you get x2 of aggro, the problem lies in the fact that with that kind of passive, you want to use SW/SH or lances, since they allow you to block and, while you generate 300 of aggro with that x2, someone with dual blades maybe generates 500-750 due to the exagerated amount of hits it does per second.

Result? Nothing changes xD

I just tested out with the alluring pelt + the alluring slingshot and LITERALLY the aggro lasts less than 5 seconds if the allies are capable of doing decent damage, it has no sense that you force the monster to target you and 5 seconds later he says "Meh, he's a nobody anyway" xDD
ive had someone use a luring pod and the monster was enraged on them for about 5 minuets
makes me kinda want to run a lance and test this "tanky" setup, is there like a deco to increase ur aggro or some sheez

You need 3 pieces giving you Alluring Pelt, you will generate more aggro when attacking, also you can use the luring pod to make the monster target you.

SS = Stamina Surge
DV: Divine Blessing

For the equipment (in my case)

Helm: Doshaguma Beta (Micotic, Antistun, Free Meal)
Body: Arkveld G A
Gloves: Doshaguma B (SS, DV)
Coil: Arkveld G B (Micotic, Free Slot)
Boots: Doshaguma B (Micotic, DV, DV)
Charm: Recovery

That should be the base items, for weapons I swap between lance and sword/shield, since the idea it's being a tank xD

Doshaguma gives you Alluring Pelt and some defensive stats, while Arkvelg G gives you some Flayer levels. Then for the weapons, as you please, I use the Lala Barina ones so I can paralize and give some extra utility.
