Since elemental dmg sucks, which are the best raw weapons?

I don't wanna use those space ships arse looking weapons.
It seems that arkvelt tree is the best one for raw, although it has dragon.
Do you agree?

About the switch axe, at the moment beside artian ones, the doshaguma, nu udra and xu wu seems the best.

Doesn't the Nu Udra swaxe come with like a sliver of white sharpness? The negative affinity also doesn't seem appealing to me since affinity is so much harder to build for in this game. I think the 10 raw difference between Xu Wu and Nu Udra is worth the comfort, and Doshaguma is stuck with blue.

Higher elemental hitzone values wouldn't change anything. It wouldn't make elements better than raw for any of the weapons that already prefer raw.

Also elemental damage is great, the issue is you have to build around it, and no one wants to make 15 different sets with specific weapons to do so. The math is out there elemental does more than raw by about 5-10% depending on the weapon.

It’s just so much easier to make a raw damage build that can kill everything, rather than have to constantly switch out gear sets for each individual monster you fight.

At this point in the games life it also isn’t typically worth it unless you’re doing speedruns. If you’re a typical player you won’t notice that much of a difference.

what matter is how consistent you can do damage to monster. so in the end it doesn't really matter which weapon you use as long as you already maxed them out. except range weapon, other weapons need sharpness, losing sharpness means losing damage and fail to hit weak spot and not able to do critical is also means losing damage. And the most important part are the buffs, food, potion, etc. make sure you have them all when you do hunt.

It is bad, the meta losers already tested it.

I'm currently running a GS that's raw damage and with 1540 crits, it feels pretty good. That's with an Artian though.

Sieglinde is really good for GS if you're looking for big damage and not an Artian weapon. That is the rarity 8 Rathian GS.

Just use gore weapons, and put a dragon 3 decoration on it. Been melting pretty much everything.

lol they not. Weapons like dual blades are great for elementals, bows are great too. Weapon like LS never was good in elemental
