did they fix the playstation controller causing bsod yet?
Haven't seen any updates and the one a few weeks back caused these controllers to break the game which is insane. I'd like to be able to use my ds4 over xbox one controller but i don't think they commented on this or fixed it yet and i don't wanna get a bsod to find out.

More than likely it will never be patched because they are probably using automated scripts to port the game.

That means that they have little to no clue what they are doing and will have to ask the person that made the script to look into it.

Chances of that happening? 0. Why? Because if that person was available or it were just that simple, then they'd have never released the game in such a broken state.

Game must be spaghetti by now, no meatballs.

Nothing like that ever happened to me. (im using ds4 - dualsense - xbox s/x controller)

i played 20 hours before it happened after that patch.. looked up the issue and it lead me to a fix for the specific issue. Some people have it every 20 minutes.. The common link is dual sense and ds4. It's on many threads. I have to undervolt cpu or use an xbox controller.. at least i am because i don't want a crash like that again.

look it up.. its not a me issue.. it willl happen to you eventually. Took 20 hours to happen for me after patch.. Many have it happen every 20 minutes. Most have my combo of ds4 and 12th gen intel cpu. xbox controller is a fix.. its retarded

I strongly doubt it is a Dualshock Controller issue.

Been playing 120hrs with dualsense, haven't crash once.

Been playing with dualsense edge for about 10hrs, haven't crash once either, but adaptive triggers doesn't work.

Only seems to have issues if youre using the specific dualsense drivers rather than generic input drivers. Using DS4windows to emulate a DS controller as an xinput controller, while also using hidhide to hide the DS controller seems to have fixed my BSODs.

Because you dont have the dualsense drivers from sony installed.

It isnt an issue with the controller, but rather the drivers for the controller.

okay, so i think i've done it correctly. So steams controller only should show "xbox 360 controller" under settings if done correctly? i added ds4 to applications in hidhide and checked the ds4 boxes in hidhide and ps4 no longer shows up in steam (or in ds4 windows until allowing the app). I assume this is exactly how it's done. Let me know if i need to do anything else. Thanks.

It's an issue with the game.
It started with patch 1.000.05.00.
I played for 100 hours before that patch with no issues.
After that patch I got random BSODs/black screen pc lockups in only mh:wilds when using either of my dualsense controllers.
The only thing that changed at all was that patch to the game.
It doesn't happen at all if I use an xbox controller.
12th gen intel+dualsense over bluetooth.

yeah, seems like most have a combo with 12th gen or dualshock/dualsense. i have a 12700k. Someone commented fixing it was downloading "hidhide" and using ds4 windows. So it hides the playstation controller completely without overlapping with the emulated xbox program. I've been trying it succesfully. Other fix was to uncheck the last 4 cpu cores in affinity after launching the game and going to monster hunters affinity through the detail section of task bar. Something about e cores being enabled helps trigger it. I haven't crashed since i've done that but i prefer to not disable 4 cpu cores so i'll be continuing to use ds4 windows and hidhide until it crashes.. hopefully it doesn't.
