Here is the upcoming 4 monsters to Monster Hunter Wilds (Spoiler)

Lagiacrus (monster spawn zone, armor sets etc ready)
Seregios (armor sets etc ready)
Gogmazios(no armor set yet but confirmed)
Zinogre (no armor set yet but confirmed)

Lagiacrus and Seregios were planned to release with base game but due to tech issues and release date being close, they had to postpone them. There is a high chance that these monsters will be added to the game before Title Update 2. Which means we may see content updates around Title Update 1.5

i think it was more they don't want elders to be such a heavy focus in wilds, not so much they dont want to do them at all.

They really just didn’t want the story to focus on elders. Which is probably why you only fight Zoh Shia once. Because even if it’s not classified as an elder, let’s be honest that it basically is one.

In World we got Kulve Taroth, and Lechen which were original as updates to the base game. Of course World is the GOAT so it could have just been unusually awesome.

Probably like it did in MHGU. i.e. Ivory Lagiacrus with a few land-adapted Abyssal Lagiacrus moves wearing a regular Lagiacrus skin.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's very unlikely. The underwater is made for just the small sections that we swim in a straight line through. Maybe in a future game underwater combat could be added, but it won't be at all in Wilds. Not even the expansion, because that's such a complex thing to just add in an expansion.... even if MH expansions are basically a whole game in their own right.

I do believe underwater combat is coming at some point though, but they're taking baby steps and adding it slowly. Now it's just underwater sections. Maybe in the next game we can swim freely and perhaps fight a small monster or two. Then in the game after that, it finally returns.
