I doubt anyone finds it hard.
That is not something you can influence really - putting aside the respawn by rest.
Took me a couple tries to figure that one out too, you gotta wait till they bite and swim away then you have like 1 sec to push the button or the line snaps.
I guess its "setting the hook" in fisherman talk
First and foremost equip the Outdoorsman decoration as that helps with fishing.
Secondly, once you’ve hooked a whopper, angle your fishing rod in the direction the fish is swimming unless it’s going into the rocks. If it’s swimming to the left, hold your fishing rod to the left. If it’s fishing to the left and heading into the rocks, hold to the right.
Repeat this process until the fish stops moving. Now you will hold your reel in button and constantly rock your fishing rod up and down to slowly inch the fish toward you. After a few tugs the fish will go back to swimming again.
If it jumps out of the water you can stun it and do the reel-up-and-down a little while it’s stunned. Also to note Swordfish are jerks and are notorious for breaking fishing lines.
When the fish gets closer to shore you can attempt to reel it in all the way. It’ll never truly get to the shore line, you’ll just yank it out of the water from a good 10-20 feet away, it feels odd.
