New content leaked.
Looks like arch tempered, and likely gamma armor sets, though i wonder if arch tempered will be a tempered frenzy monster, as frenzy materials have little use right now.

Multiple monsters, and some that were supposed to be in the base game, but for some reason were cut.

I'm being vague on purpose to avoid spoilers, but the info is on youtube if you want to look it up for yourselves.

And of course, the leaks will be proven true or false on the 25th as capcom has a 15 minute direct for title update 1.

tempered and frenzy combined don't really make sense from a lore standpoint, tempered monsters are monsters that have endured many battles and have grown stronger because of it, while frenzied monsters are infected with a disease that drastically shortens their lifespan.

i really dont know much about lore for different things like that in these games, i'll admit i don't really pay attention so i'll take your word for it. It was more just me thinking why they made a distinction like that and didn't do much with it minus the little bit you deal with gore.

idk if there's a lore reason that arch tempered can only be elder dragons either, a few others mentioned that in this thread. I guess it could just be that if there isn't a reason.

Lore shmore.

Besides, they could get infected after they are tempered, if that's such a big lore issue.

there's not really a reason for that outside of the fact that previously when arch tempered was implemented it was given only to elder dragons, though there's really no written rule that says it's an elder-only modification, odds are it was just given to elder dragons bc they were largely what worldborne's endgame consisted of.

I was playing today, and thought of uninstalling, but if actual challenge is possibility, then thanks ♥♥♥♥.

The devs have stated that they want to get players comfortable with the combat before they start adding real challenges.
Current Wilds is not comfort, its a lazyboy made out of Egyptian cotton. Why would you go this far?
It would be odd if they left frenzied monsters as they are. Originally, they would be normal monsters and you wouldn't know they were infected until they "faint" and become frenzied. In Wilds, they just walk around frenzied and have less health. It's weird.

And everyone was veeery comfortable, even gaming journalists.
don't really get the point of waiting to implement harder content with that context in mind either because you could accomplish the same "make sure everyone's comfortable before challenging the harder stuff" thing by just implementing a hr requirement, which they already do in the game up to hr40.

For some reason trickling out content and stringing players along makes more money. I don't know who they are or how it works, but they really get off on it.

I do not think the devs are catering to people that put in 120 hours in 2 weeks.
The dev stream announcement trailer implies that we might see all apexes and Arkveld being AT in TU1.
If that's the case, that should be enough to satisfy people wanting challenge

Tf? Not even that Apex Rathalos? I get scared just thinking about it..
There are no new leaks/findings from data mining. We've known about this since the beta/benchmark from data mining and (spoiler)

the difficulty above tempered is referred to as "Legendary King" while tempered is referred to as "Legendary". So it's 99% arch tempered.

And holy ♥♥♥♥, can people stop with the Black Dragon ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? You know why Fatalis, Alatreon and Dire Miralis are Black Dragons? Because their titles contain 黒龍 aka "Black Dragon". Guess what monster doesn't have "Black Dragon" in it's title! You're right, the White Seraph Dragon aka Zoh Shia. "Black Dragon" means almost nothing.

If Zoh Shia were a natural monster, it would be an Elder Dragon, because it doesn't fit any other category.

I just think there's no way the outline may be orange, but there's no elders.

Yah, Safi'jiva is literally on the same level and isn't a black dragon. White Fatalis isn't a black dragon. Crimson Fatalis isn't a black dragon. Disufiora isn't a black dragon.
Black Dragon is a title not a category
