Artian weapons are basically the "jingling keys" of this game for people who think endgame is just getting the best gear with the highest number. When really the game has 100s of hours of interesting side content to explore and experience.
If you're not one of these two, run what you like instead.
Compared to normal monster weapons, with S-tier perfect rolls you'll shave off 10-15 seconds of the run as a speedrunner.
Edit: distilled it down to one post as i got aggroed by a troll that doesn't actually understand the game.
Basic summery, they aren't worth the waste of materials due to how underpowered they are, i really got to stop giving trolls (who love calling me a troll because they get defeated in an argument) any attention, it tends to go no where.
Its also the ONLY weapon that has 3x3 deco slots helping you make anybuild you want.
You can dismantle them and get the exact same amount of ore you put into them so there is no reason to not invest and see if rng goods will smile upon you.
and if those people want ot farm Artian, let them - you camn experience the side content, discover stuff and farm fort artian at the same time
You mean the parts ? They are easy to farm and once you hit HR 100 you can re use the old parts to make the specific you want and only rng is with element and infusion at that point so its very little and I usually get what I want easily and at this point I have multiple of every type.
Also what is the point of keeping them ? Parts are tied to the rank so if they make rank 9 weapons all those parts become useless anyway. Ore is the only hard part to get and that can be fully refunded with dismantle.
What materials ? Did you actually played the game or just watch some people on YT ?
Explain exactly what MATERIALS you are talking about ?
If you dont find a reason to engage the system that is fine, but there is absolute zero reason to avoid it either.
You are the one who does not even own on it steam..... so for all I know you are just a troll.
Tell me what Material. Exact name of it and we can talk otherwise you have no idea what you are talking about. Until then I am not wasting my time with you.
Not worth chasing imo.
I do like that you can put any element or ailment on any class of weapon though and the triple 3-slot is nice.
I can tell the only instances where an Artian weapon can be significantly superior to a normal one:
Paralysis CB: Good raw with impact phials and enough space to get Load Shells, Rapid Morph, Offensive guard (or something) and some levels of Guard, Slugger and Handicraft.
Elemental IGs, SnS, DBs and Bs: The amount of element in theory can be insanely high, although so far vs all Monsters it kind of falls flat (and there’s the Critical Element “problem”).
Can’t honestly think of another instance. Normal high true raw GS, H, SA, LS, L with good innate skills at best only lose in DPS by less than 2% to a Perfect Artian. Normal HH have the best melodies. Highest true raw GL (with low sharpness) has the best shelling damage. HBG and BG have more ammo types and even in elemental damage are superior.
I Like having the ability to customize how i want to play with the weapon, not necessarily to be the best, just how i want to play. The three level 3 deco slots really help with that. All of the top tier monster weapons are great too, and have their advantages also. All about play style in my opinion.
With all of the hunting rewards, and the amount of apex and tempered monster to hunt to get some achievements you'll likely have a surplus of parts anyway so may as well have some fun making some weapons. :D
Maybe next major update they make them worth using. or maybe it's just for very specific weapons where they show, the all 3 slots are nice, but those seem to be to make up for the fact they don't come with a skill like all weapons do.
in short: they are vastly overrated and i just ignore them now.
