Artian weapons: Worth it?
I've heard that they're the "new meta" or whatever, but considering the effort you put in to them (buying then spending loads of ores), they don't come out much better than regular top tier weapons, and a lot of the time worse. For example, I made the tier 8 long sword and rolled it once with all 5 upgrades and I had (from memory):

+30 element
+5 attack
+5 attack
+5 attack
Sharpness

That was on top of the base of 70 element and 190 damage (pushing element to 100 and attack to 205). Now compared to the lala barina weapon tier 8 it was about the same damage and about 150 less element.

What am I missing? Is that it? At BEST roll, I can add 25 damage or 150 element but this takes farming for hours for ONE WEAPON hoping for a good roll. Then do it again for every element? Something is off there, or I'm missing something. Think I'll be sticking to regular weapons

(above figures are all with attack value compensation turned off btw)

Artian weapons are just easy to obtain... fully customizable as in there is no built in skill and full deco slot... some weapon comes with built in skill that is not good
RNG? It's been done, no thanks
I like to think of it as lower-tier deco slot weapons with 2 skills (usually) on it vs. higher-tier deco slot weapons with no skills on it.

It's really just a matter of preference and what skills you wanna run.

While they are probably better, a lot of them are ugly as sin... and im always willing to cut a few numbers back for looks.

Worth it to me. If you like to min max yes they are.

-you get 3x3 deco slots which you can't get anywhere else
-you don't have those useless skills included on them so they're completely customizable
-you get white sharpness on top of the highest raw you can get while having POSITIVE affinity
-you get free damage on top of that with your choice of element or status

They do look horrible for sure and it sucks we don't have layered weapons. But as far as overall usefulness and topping off your build they are most definitely worth it.

Edit- Having said all this I would much rather have more of a decoration farm and remove artian weapons for now and have the monster weapons be the best. I just think it's more interesting farming for decos rather than just a bunch of parts for a randomized weapon.

If you're trying to get the strongest weapon for most weapon types, yes. Since you're playing longsword, you'll want to get the para one made with 3 atk infusions, roll 4 atk rolls, and 1 sharpness roll and you're pretty much set. You don't really need perfect rolls though so affinity is also fine. Element is probably the worst.
long sword is exception because lala barina crit draw and crit status works well with it. Its not the same for say, switch axe. Crit draw is trash on that weapon and crit status isnt good. Just get paralyzer 3 and you still need slots for crit boost and a weapon specific jewel like focus, power prolonger or whatever else. Artian weapon will outperform it by fitting max crit boost gems and a good power prolonger/focus/offensive guard( it depends) gem+ handicraft, then decent rolls

I dont long sword, but Im fairly sure you might still be able to fit better jewels w artian and end w a weapon that has OK paralysis( less than barina) but high damage, considering sharpness, crit and weapon speciifc jewels.

Sorry. Couldn't help it. User is an obvious troll as you could tell. I have them blocked some time ago. People like that are purposely disingenuous and are not worth the energy.

Yeah, they are worth it if you want to min max. Especially for a paralysis weapon since it seems to be the meta right now.
