Hunting Horn not applying certain buff

I will preface this by stating that I have to play on Ps5 because my laptop would not run Wilds even if i wanted it to, and I don't know how else to get this message out there. That said, if somebody could please test this on PC/Steam for me to insure it isn't just a console glitch, i would be grateful. Here goes though: the buff that does not apply is the Affinity Up/Health Recovery. Now, this may just be for the rarity 8 Gore Magala Hunting Horn, but it is worth mentioning regardless, as neither the recovery nor the Affinity increase applied to my girlfriend or I. I will try to test other Hunting Horns with this buff and see if they work in the meantime, but confirmation on the above from a PC player would be amazing as well as just knowing anyone has seen this that can hopefully improve it. Does your affinity increase when you use it? It might be one of those buffs where it doesn't glow purple/yellow such as the increase sharpness on the Arkveld HH.

Okay, so I just tried it again, this time outside of a hunt, and it worked fine. So now im even more confused. They only thing I can think of is that something in my build is disabling that buff somehow without explicitly stating so. Will post my build here shortly.

In the hunt, neither of our affinities increased at all, but just now in the training arena by myself it did.

im not sure, its working with the armor now. if its not that, the only variance would be the multiplayer aspect. Unless we just both misread our equipment stuff. I suppose that's possible too. will definitely do more testing.

So health recovery gives you health. So it doesn't glow purple when activated so maybe it's because of that? I mean that wouldn't make sense because you said it doesn't give you affinity in a hunt, but does it heal you?

I didnt see any health recovery. Ill keep testing it though. Might have just been a one off bug, who knows?
