Yes, that is correct. The tutorial ends once you see the credits.

nah, man. just play the game and enjoy it, don't look at it as a tutorial.
you should try to have fun during the story mode, but yeah its there to give you a space to learn all the odd mechanics of the game. Even if you're very used to video games you'll not understand alot of whats in monster hunter. Every game since like tri has more or less been exactly this way and the games before it weren't really that much different.

If you are brand new you should take your time and do some side hunts on the way and try to learn things while still in the easier environment.

But yes in pretty much all monster hunter games you spend 30 hours in the story and 1000 hours post story.

low rank is the tutorila, high rank is were you start building your core endgame mechanics and master rank is the actual game

they introduce mechanics after the credits roll. This is a silly thing to say lol.

Low rank and high rank is just tutorial. The real game start after this. Too bad there is so far no content for this part.

It teaches you how to play the game. The real game is when you take everything you learned to take down higher level monsters. You also unlock more gear for transmogging.

capcom put in work into the story and how your hunter and guild works. the character in the world and the areas all great. dont treat it as a tutorial and also the real hunting and what will test your resolve fully is after the credits with the intro of harder and tougher opponents.

It is a tutorial though. The story is boring and stupid

It's a common problem with Japanese games and this game does it in the most offensive way possible. It's one long walking sim with some combat thrown in. At least this time, you can skip cutscenes.

Yes, most of us only played Monster Hunter Rise and that one had almost no stroy at all. This was a bit confusing because it forces a Story on us and it's not what we were used to. You can finish the story fairly quick and then you play the normal state of the game, witch is about hunting monsters to get better gear so you can hunt more monsters. I think this story was quite unnessesery and frustrating for MH Rise players that just want the freedom to start hunting monsters absent complicated sotry and characters. But they tried to do more this time.

The story is a Tutorial, rush it if you don't like it, but do the things in it, they are teaching you how to play the game. It's actually more complicated game then it seems. There are a lot of ways to get more bufs, more damage and easier munster hunts and when you don't know the right ways it can be frustrating untiull you learn the game mechanics.

Yeahhh for whatever reason Capcom hasn't really moved away from this concept of having basically an extended hand holding story campaign THEN after you're done with that is when the difficulty cranks up and the game lets you fully play without training wheels.

It is just MHW. MHR was absolutely fine in that regards as you could jump straight into the gathering hub.

I would disagree. The tutorial doesn't really end until MR happens. In other words, all of us are stuck in the tutorial for 3 years or so until the expansion is released.
