Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds

DLSS 4 + FSR Framegen (RTX 3000 series)
You can download 2 files from Nexus mods that allows you to combine the best of both world.

https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/738?tab=files
I used the files in the map "dll-version" (works with the 3080)

REFramework- You need this to make it work as well.

No idea if this can get you banned, I don't think so but use at your own risk.

"from what ive asked in both worlds and rise threads. No one has heard anyone getting banned over reframe. Since a ton of people use it to see the health of monsters."

Been using this ever since I made this thread and still working and no problems.
I remember modding MH world back in the day as well so I could see monster HP etc. This was never a problem either.

Been using DLSS 4 + FSR Framegen since day one, works flawlessly for me.
Also REFramework gets rid of the stupid Capcom DRM checks which only cause issues.
I've had way fewer crashes since I installed REFramework.

Okay so 3080 TI with 5900X user here. I'm on an Ultrawide 3440x1440p monitor and been trying to dial things in to where things run well and don't look like ass. It's pretty easy to enable DLSS 4 inside Nvidia settings, you just force the latest one. I did try the mod to use DLSS 4 + Frame Gen and I am getting horrible artifacting near the edges of my screen. What I've landed on is AMD FSR + Frame Gen + AMD Native AA, I'm getting 70fps+ depending on what's going on. I've tried the combo with balanced & quality upscaling on and I just don't like how blurry it is, though I get 80 to 100+ fps with those options. Also getting minimal artifacting with this on along the right side. It's a faint line so it doesn't bug me as much as the DLSS 4+Frame Gen is on & the line is less noticeable with Native AA on. Not noticing a large amount of input lag either, though I am rusty at MH and a bit out of practice. Though I am typically pretty sensitive to input lag.

That's strange, I don’t experience noticeable artifacts using DLSS + FSR. However, I did have major ghosting with Frame Generation during the BETA.

If you're getting 70 FPS with FG, that means your native frame rate is essentially halved, so it’s around 35 FPS, which leads to input lag averaging around 28.5 milliseconds (compared to 16.7 ms for 60 FPS). Ideally, you’d want to stay below 20 ms for the smoothest experience. That said, input lag is subjective—some people notice it more than others. There are even people who play on consoles with 50 ms TV lag and don’t mind it!

So, if it works for you, stick with it. But right now, it’s pretty tough to run the game without some form of upscaling.

I updated my driver and now the game looks awful. I tried messing with the setting and nothing is working. Any suggestions? The game ran good yesterday and it now looks like an out dated game graphics wise.

What GPU do you have ?

I saw someone mention setting vsync to fast in Nvidia control panel, I might give that a go. It's real bad artifacting and I wonder if it's because I'm on ultrawide resolution. With the upscaling on quality or balanced game feel is worse too, though I don't have numbers to back that up without frame gen plus dlss on I was anywhere from 40-80fps. I'm tempted to look into Optiscaler.
Reinstalled the game and used DLSS swapper this time. Now DLSS 4 is working okay with frame gen, getting the same artifacting line I did with AMD FSR, but it's not super noticeable especially during gameplay.

Additional Notes: SSD required. This game is expected to run at 2160p / 60 fps (with Frame Generation enabled) under the "Ultra" graphics setting. DirectStorage supported.

What are you even talking about.....
Nobody is talking about high texure packs and dlc downloads.
Game runs like trash even without the texurepack on mid/high end systems.

Go away now.

Exactly. It is sad how many are willing to let companies like Capcom get away with trash launch of their games. It will only encourage them to be more lazy in their service. I admit I got pulled by the hyoe after waiting several days and watching some streamers playing with only some lags so I jumped in to play my first MH. Unfortunately my game crashes and cannot play multiplayer mode even once. Can only play "online single player" mode.

In the monster hunter wilds settings. Does it show Dlss version 3.10 (this is Dlss 4). Are you using latest drivers?
Because it's 100% supported.
3000 series can't use version 3. You are if you have a 3000 series and not using version 4 it will use version 2.

You probably need a clean install on your driver's or instead try a dlss swapper first.
use optiscaler bypass those dlls use fsr and turn on fg then go to optiscaler (insert) and set to DLSS

it shows 3.7.10
and i have a ROG STRIX 4080 SUPER

use "latest" in nvidia apps for DLSS (as i saw on google) change nothing on MHW (the game always tell me it's 3.7.10) and totally f*ck up FF7 rebirth

so what is the point to buy 5xxx if you can use it on 4xxx 3xxx ?? it wasnt supposed to

You can either use DLSS SWAPPER
https://github.com/beeradmoore/dlss-swapper/releases/download/v1.1.6/DLSS.Swapper-1.1.6.0-installer.exe

Or you can do a clean driver install which might fix it.
https://www.guru3d.com/download/display-driver-uninstaller-download/

(You can also do a clean driver uninstall manually but f... that tbh)

Not a bad idea to do the clean driver installer ones in a blue moon.

Still it's weird it doesn't just work out of the box, especially on a 4080....

Forcing dlss 4 did zero for me. Absolutely nothing
I don't even think it works

It's why I downloaded the DLSS swapper that I linked before.
That 100% works. You can even see which version DLSS MH wilds is using in the game settings. In my case 3.10.2.1 (this is DLSS 4)

You are wrong.
It's FSR FG + DLSS 4.

It works because MSI Afterburner with Riviatuner shows that it works.
Double the FPS with FG enabled with DLSS 4.

FSR FG also works in general on any GPU including 3000 series. This mod simply makes DLSS work when using AMD FSR FRAMEGEN instead of forcing you to use FSR Upscaling.
