getting the right armor and weapon has always been the ground framework for your build. Farm decos, unlock the new equipment via side quests, unlock layered armor, have great coop experience - and then wait for the future updates.
This is a big problem that many want to paint over. Seven years from World and this is what they offer the fanbase. Sad.
You have 44 hours into the game and have over half the achievements done in less than a week since release. You've certainly been playing it more than a lot of people here. It's little surprise you're running out of non-repeatable content to do.
Base World actually had a reason to farm better gear because tempered Elder Dragons were challenging and took a while to master killing. In Wilds you just roll up to tempered Arkveld in low-rank armor and whatever random weapon you cobbled together and body him with near-zero danger.
There's only so much fun to be had in bullying defenseless monsters.
I really hope that the AT monster in TU 1 elevates one of the <6* monsters to 7* and that Mizutsune and the unknown monster start out at 7*.
