Normal - Just burst them all at once when you can
Long and Wide - IDK just do the same I guess xd

so far for me it seems like normal is like usual, long you might want to spam multi wyrmstake blast, and wide you want to charge every time, since positioning with shelling is no longer an issue

Normal, the more shell, the merrier. The new combo is quite satisfying with it.

Open with a shell, sweep, spam Y+B to get off all the shelling and a wyvernstake, then you can do it again, then you get a fast charge wyvernfire at the end.

This seems to be the best way to get off as much shelling as possible. Type don't seem to matter with the new combo, since it empties the entire clip (twice), the go to strategy is to get the biggest clip you can and all the skills that buff shelling damage, clip size, and reload speed.

Long and Normal seem to function really similar since one just has 'even' distributed damage along lance/shells/stakes with long favoring stakes spamming (so big combos)

Wide seems a bit odd out as it is both now the Long and Wide from World. It wants to Blast a lot, and charging builds gauge to charge. But at the same time, charging feels kinda bad even with max focus (charge reduction). Undeniably hits the hardest though if you have extra shells and a STRONG shell lance (110 per shell).

But in the end, depending on what you're fighting will determine if you can even get your combos off. I'd say Wide has the most flexible play style, and it definitely seems to have the most lances in basegame so far.

I dont think there are real differences in builds right now. There are no actual decisions to be made, you just use the few things the devs gave us and there just isnt any variety you can come up with outside of maybe 1-2 level 1 decos.

normal or bust right now, wide and long are mediocre

now THIS is a gamer.
yeah, this is the conclusion i came to as well for wide
Long is my preferred. It's better at stakes so the double sweeping barrage followed by stakes plus focus strike drilling wounds followed by wyvernblasts.

Normal is whatever, but still full blast is best, and the new sweeping barrages are good too. You don't charge your shots with normal. It's fun.

Wide is charging your shots and wyvernblasting. Charging your shots gets your wyvernblast back quick. Also fun, but not my preferred.
Just do your wyvrmstake full combo over and over. it does the most damage possible. Normal is better for mobility now overall with shell-stepping being availlable though. Wide provides more overall dps per shell. Long is uh.. Long? Seems you get more range on your wyvernblast?

Also; I see nobody mentioning. You get a shorter Wyvernblast windup per stake you put out. Up to four stakes. So the more you stake an enemy, the faster your blast. So its more about staking as many times in a row as you can before you blast now.

youre so wrong and is not even funny
you want to keep that wound open so yeah one Normal and the second slot Power. When switching to your secondary weapon if same elements but different type both slots Power. Also take advantage of Focus when you see the wound open.
