What to do with Zenny

I am a newb to MH games and I am just wondering what to spend Zenny on. It doesn't seem to be of much use and I have over 200k that just keeps building. Is there anything interesting or worthwhile to spend it on? Will it become more useful in the later game? I am currently mid-chapter 3. Thanks in advance!

Zenny is and was always useless in the games. Its might be only not useless if you plan to craft every HR gear.

crafting armor and weapons, not much else. and im also a bit buying extra supplies from provisioner to keep my stockpiles high all the time.

You'll find out when you try to craft + upgrade weapons + armour enough.
Sooner or later you'll try to upgrade one of your elemental weapons and you'll notice the option is inactive despite having all the parts.... and then you'll realise you burnt through 100,000 Zenny in a couple minutes.

Won't be of much use until HR. Gotta forge all the sets so you can go ham with fashion hunter with all the layered armors.

Armour, and stuff from the item vendors that doesn't appear naturally. So trap tools, or anything you can't be bothered to craft.

I mean, it's heresy just to buy potions, but I can't see your screen...

The only way Zenny is ever useful is if you completely sell all of the free stuff you start with and get like the hundreds of healing items and shards that just get handed to you and then you use a trainer to cheat and set your money to zero then and only then you'l have a actual use for Zenny to be smart to spend it on stuff you need.

And yes I did this to purposely made the game harder on myself.

If you play the game normally you'l be given so much free crap you'l never really need to ever buy anything at all.

In MH Worlds i had like 60 million Zenny.
It is useless once your have played long enough.
But big number make ppl happy.

Normally you could use it to buy mega potions rather than waste your time crafting them. Then saving the crafting mats for ancient potions. But it seems mega potions aren't for sale (yet).

zenny is used to make gear. late game they are "expensive" so if u end up wanting alot, it adds up. i typically spend tons on trap material, its 100 zenny a pop and u can use a few traps per hunt in a hard fight.

buy 600 trap kits and be set for the rest of your playtime

So far I haven't encountered any big money sinks.

But when you first got to the point where you could start too upgrade armor a lot in World it could burn through your money quite quickly. Specially if you wanted to test out new builds.

I remember having a quite a stockpile of cash in World and then the upgrade system started to drain ALL of it. Actually had to do money investigations to get as much money as possible.

You actually had to grind money sometimes in the old games, I have so much money here that I forgot its a thing.

Remember the scene in Matrix with the rows and rows of weapons? That is what you are using it for.
