extreme high cpu usage

Hey fellow hunters,

Ive noticed that Monster Hunter Wilds is using around 90% of my CPU, even though all my drivers are up to date and my CPU temperature stays below 60°C.

is there a fix or is somebody experiencing the same?

Here are my specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- Mainboard: Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 (AMD B550)
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB (ASUS Dual SI)
- RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4-3200 (2 x 16GB)

I noticed that too with a 12th gen i7 12700K, CPU usage just spikes and plateaus at 90% for a bit and then goes down to ~50%. Just gonna assume it's the optimization issues the game has and they hopefully get that sorted out reasonably soon.

Anyone who monitors CPU usage and temperature has noticed that there is a major problem with the game. Most people don't monitor these things and don't realize that their CPU is permanently at 100° C and automatically downclocks. The developer should add a 360 AiO to the minimum requirements.

That's normal for a cpu like ryzen 5 5600x, it's more to do with the game optimization.

i have a ryzen 9700x and 4060ti. game sometimes plays amazing on 1080 high and sometimes its complete dog crap

Useless.
Not all CPUs need a 360AiO+
2. OP wrote that his CPU is below 60° @ 90%.
So there is no problem....

Even a 9800x3d has to work in this game so that should be "normal".
Still a Bad optimization...
I hope it gets better. :/
A 4090 can draw up to 450W.
In this game i saw in a lot of Benchmarks that a 4090 only get up to 300-380W.

I start it the next 10mins for the first time...lets See how it works on my System

In my brief testing before I refunded it was the same, nothing you can do about it, sometimes it will even go beyond 90%

for me constantly at 90 to 99% xD
i mean my cpu is not on fire so everything is fine, but its concerning yk

i have the 12900k and cpu load is 25-40 % and gpu is 80% stable
1440p for me

Intel chip experiencing the same, 94-95 degrees C and just freezing/crashing after a time 4090 laptop with water cooling, GPU is fine on 4k ultra, CPU not so much

GPU msi 5080 ventus 3x
Ram 32gb fury beast 5600
Use only heat sink
CPU Temperature around 45-60 °C
GPU Temperature 57 °C

But the game is use CPU around 88-92%

Mine runs on 60-65 on 100% CPU Usage. Nothing clocking down so far. But my AMD Software freezes. last 3 days had no Problem.

Has to be a bug. Sometimes I'm in town and CPU usage from the game alone goes to like 90%

I'm just standing there and eventually it will go down as low as 25%. That's not normal and didn't happen before their updates.
