DXGI ERROR DEVICE HUNG (possible fix)
hey all, so i was suffering from this error every time i ran the game and after trying every fix out there i couldn't get it to work. However i have fixed it now so thought id put my steps up in case it helps any fellow hunters.

One of the main fixes that i didn't find listed was undervolting my gpu. To do this download MSI afterburner and change your gpu clock to whatever the factory default is. Mine was overclocked out of the factory and i didn't even know.

second is to find a config file online for monster hunter wilds, one of my friends sent me this which i pasted into my monster hunter directory which turned all the settings to minimum before even booting the game.

and third is to run steam and monster hunter.exe in administrator mode.

after these three steps my game is working fine, and trust me i had tried everything, hope this works for some fellow hunters.

also dont forget to go into nvidia control panel if you have it and set max fps to 60 or 90, changing this setting was a main fix in getting the game to stop crashing repeatedly once i actually got it working.

take it easy x

Then you know you need to get a non-defective card.
So I've tried every solution I could find out there and my game would still freeze up after 5-10 min of playing. The only solution that actually worked for me was installing MSI Afterburner (https://www.msi.com/Landing/afterburner/graphics-cards) and decreasing the clockspeed to -300. I'm able to play the game on the highest graphics with FSR - Balanced and haven't had a crash for a few hours now.
