There's an entire discord sub dedicated to saved investigations with the crown sizes. One guy went from 4 to done in 6 hours. So no, a very good amount of people thought about it, it's just not everyone is doing "Gotta go fast" mode.

I would never waste time farming or do achievement in a game without authoritative servers. There is no telling if it is legit or not

More and more crowns are available to trade "now". Pretty sure there would be less trades back then as people needed time to progress through the game first. Like I personally farmed all the crowns with Raven. But neither of us slept more than 4-6 hours a day and sped through all the story content and raced to get the crowns. I doubt lots of crowns were being traded when the game just game out. Especially the hard to get ones like the Apex mini crowns which takes resting for a specific time and area.

Well I was bragging about doing all gold crowns, so 25 monsters for that. It's more than likely the first two people to respond, ignored what I said about the binoculars being OP or didn't know what I meant and thought crown grinding in Wilds was the equivalent of crown grinding in World or Rise. Where, without mods, and just using Gaming with Abyss videos, you could spend 100-200 hours doing nothing but crown farming.

This is why I rushed for the achievement tbh. It was my desire to beat the game 100% before mods making it easier came out. And to my surprise I didn't fully. Modders work very fast, but I did partially achieve my goal, I did get 20 crowns minimum as shown by my achievement unlock date before the first crown mod was even published on nexus mods.

i was hunting crowns on my own and after many hours had maybe 1 mini and 2 gold - then after joining a discord and gettting a small party together where you share each other investigations i managed to get to this after yesterday. def recommend doing the hunt in groups if you want to do it without cheating.

(I seem to have most luck save scumming the arena, but that gets boring really fast so i can only do it for 30 mins at most)
