Speartuna Time and Weather?

Does anybody know when he spawns? Some say it has to rain, i tried it many times but no luck. Im in Scarlet Forest 17.

i would assume, though may be totally wrong, it being an ice weapon the spear tuna would spawn in an ice area and not the Forest?

i have seen it multiple times on this area but i didnt do the fishing quests at that time

Scarlet Forest 17 during the fallow, i suggest to put morning since i had luck finding in the morning the problem is catching it

Just had a ton of luck in Scarlet Forest 17, fallow - evening. Using the tuff joint bait.

I was having trouble with them jumping so much. Turns out the jumps have a directionality I was missing. When the fish jumps, watch the direction of its head, before it hits the water you need to move in the direction it moves its head then press R2.
