As someone who has come from Freedom 2 and MHFU I'd say I've only carted enough to count on one hand. This game is easier than base game World and Rise. The only two real threats are the Tempered Gore and Arkveld which most people probably cart to in the first place is because they didn't have the need to craft armor until that point. I literally beat the game with non upgraded HR Lala armor and then swapped to a better set once I realized Arkveld and Gore actually hurt. No HBG or bow spam either. Just used GS and Gunlance.
Even new players who never played Monster Hunter are calling this game easy.
Funny thing is the game has never been difficult, just janky. Up until about 4U the game *was* harder, but only because monster models and monster hitboxes tended not to share the same space whenever they could help it and level geometry was often a far bigger threat to hunters than elder dragons ever were.
I’ve noticed monsters being super squishy in coop. Even when the team and/or I play like crap they still fold over.
note, easy doesn't mean brain dead easy, this is more of "fun challenge but could be harder" difficulty. and it's mainly because wounds and weapons are so GOOD now. they didn't need to make my switch axe or great sword so Fluid and now i think they're kinda Busted.
Mostly because of wound`s explosion( no clue what to call it) which often stuns the monster. I feel that in rise, monster spend less time stunned even with a great hammer player in your team.
I think the more people play in this franchise, the better they are getting and they do not realise it as much which is one major contributor to the feeling of the game being easier too.
Didnt fail a hunt yet.. but saw some carts against Tarkveld.
