Gypceris in plains

Got this quest to hunt gypceros there i look at envoirment details says a gypceros is there but when i go to the map i cant see it?

It has to be during a specific season for them to spawn on the plains. I believe it has to be the season of fallow for it to have the chance of spawning but it states exactly which season in the quest page

If you haven't fought it before it'll be the icon with '?' on it.

you can rest in the tent and set the time and type of season to get what you want

the only 2 things it could be is, it either despawned as soon as you loaded in or its in a region part that you havnt found yet, if its in a part u havnt visited it wont appear on the map

i found out he has a hidden lair at the top left corner of the map inside a cave system and you gotta use the mount to climb up vines to reach him. Wasted 2 hrs last night finding this out.
