But that others can play with them speaking is absolutely fine by me.
Choice is good!
I like it. Does not feel any different from reading subtitles when they talk. It is just so much more cuter now.
Agreed choice is good. Honestly for how closely Palicoes have worked with hunters/guilds etc. I’ve always wondered how they communicate since they would need to do so in many cases to do their jobs effectively.
They were cute enough to ignore it in previous games but I would sometimes just be like “How does this work when they seem to understand us just fine but we have no indication that various meows and other cute sounds can be understood by the humans?”
You can change the pitch. That makes a huge difference.
As long as I get to hunt what is effectively God in the eyes of the local people and assert my self as the Apex Predator in EVERY Locale, I care not for the whims of mortals.
As for the OP, if felyne language wasn't an option, I would have muted my game. Pallicos speaking is creepy and cringe to me. Need the meows. Meows bring attack buffs and kill monsters. Also makes you much more pettable.
Pitch is the reason I hated my characters voice in Hogwarts Legacy. It sounded like ♥♥♥♥♥.
