Yup what the point of farming monster if you get all drop only in 2 or 3 kills

I honestly thought they were gonna make the drop rates wayyyy lower once the review period was over haha…
Do you even need to kill that many because if drop rates are so generous as people are saying in here I don't even see a reason to do half of that number if you will get everything anyway.

For the Monster specific gems which are needed for all the T8 gear, you will need to do that many at least lol. I’m at 120 and still missing the gems from 2 of the monsters.

the game has been out for like 5 days, anyone killing ~20 large monsters every single day since launch is a hardcore player who has a great amount of free time

This time, monster gems are EASY, because there are investigations that have it guaranteed - just look a bit and refresh the SOS flare search and you will find the one you need easily. I had PTSD from MH World with gems drop rate, I've killed Rathalos waaay too many times for that one gem... Wilds is much MUCH easier in that reguard.

As for the OP, I am one of those 8% and I can tell you why that is - I got the achievement after 3 days of non-stop playing, 6+ hours per day. Many people, like, the majority, do not have or want to spend that many hours gaming. Most people game when they have some free time and/or in 1-2 hour sessions. So it's too early for that 100 monsters achiev to be common.
And second, the game swamps you with stupid side quests that do no involve killing monsters - like the Palico quests that you have to do, the fishing quests, "catch me X monster with the net" quests, etc. If people are doing those, they are not hunting and the number does not increase. Give it some time.

You only get alot in LR, at HR and endgame you don't really get anything from 2-3 kills.

its a literal statistic though, like the steam data base is giving this objectively accurate information.
i don't know how to interpret this other than you being mad that the story didn't include 100 mandatory hunts for some reason
