Upon booting the game, cannot load save data and stuck on loading screen
With mods, without mods. Verifying files, uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Restarting the computer. No matter what I just stare at the loading bar stuck about halfway into loading up my save file. Anyone else have this issue?

Did you have a crash while saving at any point? Could be save file corruption.
Try deleting both config.ini and shader.cache2 in your root directory and see if that clears up whatever is going on. So you know, deleting shader.cache2 will force you to recompile your shaders again.

Another thing you can try is removing your save data temporarily and see if the game loads correctly under a clean slate. In the event that it does, you may be dealing with a corrupted save.

Save files are stored in <Steam-folder>\userdata\<user-id>\2246340\remote\win64_save (this is the Steam install folder, not the Wilds install folder or a SteamLibrary folder).
I have tried the above, first removing config and the shader.cache2. No luck. I then removed the local save from the folder, but it still showed up in-game. Presumably due to the cloud save functionality. Still stuck on loading. Need to try now with cloud saves off, i assume
Yeah, anytime you're fiddling with your save files manually you need to turn off cloud saves, or else it will usually silently grab them from cloud.
So yeah it loads into character creator seemingly fine when no saves are there. Damn that sucks. Luckily I wasn't very far.
Really sorry to hear that.
Thats crazy. Never used a single "mod" outside of reshade. So strange
Did you have a crash while saving? That's the usual culprit for save corruption. Mods generally won't cause save corruption unless there's an issue with a patch that changes something the mod relies on.
I probably experienced 4-6 crashes total. Never any obvious signs of it saving during them. Typically they were within an hour of starting a session. I had not played much. I will probably let this game cook with some patches for a bit
Honestly that's probably for the best. I preordered this knowing it was going to be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on launch.
So yeah idk wtf is the deal but my save works totally fine now like nothing ever happened after i forgot to turn steam cloud back on, did a fresh windows install and now booted right into my old save. So yeah. who knows.

Thank goodness then it was just a local corruption for you.

Could you please list exactly what you tried to do?
I have the same problem, I am stuck on the loading screen right after the initial menu. No crash at all before that.
