Don't buy modern games on release. You deserve a working product but these companies don't know how to deliver one. It's very rare that something works properly on release nowadays.
so;
just something that yo might want to check.
I put a mod on that auto-refilled my inventroy form my box/tent so i didnt have ot do it every hunt. That mod required the REF framework.
Even with the mod disabled i sstill crashed very hour, but REF was still loading (UI popup)
I uninstalled that (removed dinput8.dll from the install folder) and i went back to NOT crashing.
I've heard people talking about the 'crash every hour' stuff be related to some form of denauveu or anti-tamper; so it might pay to check on that, along with your firewall settings - if there is anti tamper and it checks in every hour; and is blocked by your FW, it could also cause the check to fail and the anti-tamper would then crash your game.
Whats RE Framework
If it's a firewall thing would it crash hard enough to black screen it and crash the system? I might try this.
Are their other default programs that might do this?
The fact that you know that it's the RE Framework, and not my mistyped 'REF framework'
tells me that you already know the answer to that question, "friend".
I gave you the name of the file that you need to remove. This will solve your problem.
Just say thank you, admit that you have mod(s) on, and let's all just be gentlemen... for bonus points, you might even mark my reply as the answer; seeing as you know that it is; and you know that I know that you know. Why pretend?
If it's anything else, it's likely not the 'anti-tamper'.
This fixed it! Zero crashes after a 2 hour play session!
I started fine, first crash about 20 hours in. By the time I got to the end of the game it was crashing every half an hour.
Reinstalled and havent crashed since (approximately 4 hours played after reinstall)
