Hitstop is annoying at times
so here i am, fighting a group of enemies, but the hitstop is so massive on an attack that hits multiple enemies, and only affects the hunter, that i get hit unfairly because i was hitstopped for nearly a full second

truly excellent gamefeel and design.
reminds me of another game where this was a problem in online modes

hitstop is In the game BUT its extremely weak compared to MHW.

And thats a good thing in my opinion, combat feels more fluid this way.

or maybe the game shouldn't have a mechanic it wasn't designed around in it, haphazardly thrown in in the last three months of development

the way it's implemented here actually will lead to you taking hits, which will genuinely become a problem later on when they implement some actually difficult fights.

Monster hunter combat shouldn't be fluid

For ♥♥♥♥ sake just go play the hack and slash games you like stop turning this one into them

Like you can go play Genshin impact or whatever you don't need to do it in every game

If "Mammal Harasser Mild" were any easier, it would play itself... which it actually oftentimes already does!

People making up words to excuse they are bad at the game is quite new...wtf is "hitstop"??

its a term to describe the pause you get when you hit an enemy, to make the attack feel more meaty, it is in many many action combat games.

here i found this which shows it well, look at the final attack of the true charge, see how in world it ends later then rise? thats hit-stop

making combat feel smoother does not turn it into a "hack and slash" you would need some serious combat gameplay changes to turn a Monster Hunter into a hack and slash.

The closest MH was ever was to a hack and slash was Rise/Sunbreak thx to some of the easy to spam strong abilities like the dual blade spin2win and crazy mobility compared to older series lol

Also saying to ANY game and i mean ANY game where combat is the main focus that Combat should not be Fluid is an extremely retarded statement.

If you're talking about monster roars, then you can actually dodge them if timed correctly.

If you're talking about monster hitboxes, then yes, Monster Hunter is renowned for having both terrible and good hitboxes. Entirely monster dependent.
