i was fighting a blangonga and it's little posse was surrounding me to the point i got hit from hitstop lolz
finally, a good post on these forums.
And thats a good thing in my opinion, combat feels more fluid this way.
or maybe the game shouldn't have a mechanic it wasn't designed around in it, haphazardly thrown in in the last three months of development
the way it's implemented here actually will lead to you taking hits, which will genuinely become a problem later on when they implement some actually difficult fights.
For ♥♥♥♥ sake just go play the hack and slash games you like stop turning this one into them
Like you can go play Genshin impact or whatever you don't need to do it in every game

here i found this which shows it well, look at the final attack of the true charge, see how in world it ends later then rise? thats hit-stop
making combat feel smoother does not turn it into a "hack and slash" you would need some serious combat gameplay changes to turn a Monster Hunter into a hack and slash.
The closest MH was ever was to a hack and slash was Rise/Sunbreak thx to some of the easy to spam strong abilities like the dual blade spin2win and crazy mobility compared to older series lol
Also saying to ANY game and i mean ANY game where combat is the main focus that Combat should not be Fluid is an extremely retarded statement.
and correct me if i'm wrong, but world is also the only monster hunter game to have hitstop lol
If you're talking about monster hitboxes, then yes, Monster Hunter is renowned for having both terrible and good hitboxes. Entirely monster dependent.
Developer: Capcom
Planned release: 2030
actually the one from sunbreak might even work IN wilds I cba to check
