So.... what is the shorthand for Monster Hunter Wilds?

Monster Hunter World was "MHW" .... so MHW is already taken. Iceborne was MHW:I or just MHWI. Rise was MHR. Sunbreak was MHR:S or MHR:SB or ... well... you get the point.

I'm guessing this wasn't a deliberate choice on Crapcom's part but some accident of translation... but we can't use MHW for Wilds, can we? So what will it be? MH6?

As long as the Master Rank expansion in the distant future doesn't start with an "I" then I guess the problem will be solved then.

the semantic of the series of games only matters to the people who play them, to everyone else, it'd just be, what #monsterhunter or however tags work

My Youtube channel is the equivalent of HR2. I just wanted to try and get more viewers who actually wanted to watch (deliberately silly) Wilds content.


... Wait... waaaait... wait. Youtube said most of my viewers were from the United States, which might be because of the time I upload at... but my sense of humour is completely British. I remember a while back I watched some video about how Americans don't really get British self-deprecating / hypocritical humour...

........ Oh well. Whatever. Not the point. I just wanted to find all the possible ways to refer to Monster Hunter Wilds besides... well... "Monster Hunter Wilds".

But unfortunately Youtube is utterly saturated with Monster Hunter Wilds videos right now, so I expect my efforts are being drowned out by the flood.

Before Wilds came out my Cemu MH3U playthrough was doing at least 3x better for views.
