Is there a setting to automatically send items to Field Pouch?
I kinda highkey hate the game constantly changing my item pouch, so I purposely keep it full... But the warning about your item pouch being full every time you pick up an item is almost as annoying as the game changing my item pouch.

Anyone know if there's a setting to default to field pouch? I haven't been able to find one.

Why don't you save the loadout of your item pouch?

Didn't know that was a thing, will be using pouch loadouts from now on. Not exactly the solution I want, but still 100x better than the way I was doing it, thank you.<3

There's a mod on Nexusmod for this.

You're welcome.
When in your tent just go to:

  1. Transfer Items
  2. Item pouch
  3. Press the Left stick on a controller or Shift on keyboard
  4. Hit Y on controller or R on keyboard
  5. Register loadout

This well then save the current loadout of your item pouch.
You can then go back to this menu to load it as well
Essentials items like the binoculars or phishing rod can also be hidden from the item bar

Yeah I found it the second you mentioned it, haha, I've been using it ever since.

what's it called?
Yeah just register a loadout and after every hunt click the button to use it and it'll deposit any excess items you picked up and restock things like your mega potions/traps if you put them in the loadout

Not a lot of things get explained well in MH games to be honest

I recommend the auto restock mod too, it'll restock the loadout you tell it to after you complete a quest

I've been using the auto restock mod and it's such a QoL improvement! Same for auto sharpen out of battle and auto mantle cool down reset when starting new quests!

But I still have issues with the field pouch when I just want to explore the world and gather materials, reframework is super easy to use and afaik you won't get banned for using mods like these!

On a side note:
Just wanted to point out that this whole thread is so wholesome! As a MH veteran who has played MH for over a decade now, I love the MH community! I had forgotten about item Loadouts myself too despite using it A LOT in the past 😅
