Noh that's not the case.
You can't swap it because it's for rtx 5k series.

With Dragon's Dogma 2 you can't swap framegen.

Also even if you did, you can only use dlss 3 if you use ultra wide aspect ratio.
If you don't use ultra wide you can use dlss swapper to give yourself dlss 4, but you can't upgrade the streamline files that make the framegen work better, as you get a crash instead.

Hmm I haven't now tried what happens if I change the streamline files while using reframework, as that fixed reshade crashing the game instantly.

i have 5080 so, Manually swapped to DLSS 4.0, but for frame gen i need nvidia app to make it x3/x4 and it says wilds is not supported.

The framegen upgrade is for the 4 and 5k cards. The multi framegen is for 5k. The Nvidia app hasn't put it as a supported game yet, they likely will in the future. The only way to use the new update of framegen currently, is by using REframework, which is hit or miss if it crashes your game.

You can use it without reframework, just a warning when using ultra wide aspect ratio can give a black screen with framegen gen dlss4.
Though the streamline files can't prolly be upgraded either way.

Dragon's Dogma 2 also isn't supported with framegen, and that's probably because the streamline files have to be exactly for that version of game/denuvo the game uses.

And Dragon's Dogma 2 has nvidia optimal settings feature.

The game being auto detected or not with nvidia app technically doesn't matter.
You can add any dlss game manually and you can do the same global stuff in terms of dlss.

You can use nvidia inspector to do the same thing, force a preset for a specific game or globally, so you don't have to do it for every single game.
