People used to complain about how World was a "dumbed down" monster hunter game and it was way too easy, among many other complaints (Like The Handler, or unskippable cutscenes, etc)
MH games don't tend to get hard until after the expansion hits that adds Master Rank.
Probably the new players World generated yea. Which just skews the communities perception of 'hard' in Monster Hunter.
Wasnt Extreme Behemoth in Worlds on release hailed as like one of the hardest, most mechanical boss in Monster hunter on its release? that was before G-Rank
also, it was only hard because the fight was not designed for a monster hunter game, it was designed for an MMO.
True to some extent, I don't think MH4U was particularly hard in the beginning since they introduced mounting. MH3U's was only hard cuz underwater combat was janky.
But MH2 and the OG game were insanely hard right from the start.
Yeah I was about to say, this is the only fight that took my bf and I a long, long time. He's very sub-optimal to hit in most places, and he's almost too large of a hitbox there's so much running around to get to correct hit spots to attack him at. Also, his super move mechanics are stupid and waste a ton of time. And he feels a bit more spongey than most monsters, very spongey.
