I dunno but from what I understood reading the discussions, FPS itself is not that meaningful itself.
Since frame generation could make it run at 60 fps but it would actually behave like a 30fps game or something.

tbh, don't buy the game for now, too many problems that haven't been fixed yet

i run it at solid 120 on 3070
i have similar setup and run the game on high and i think i average on 50+fps
well with loss less scaling on steam + my 3060ti and i510600 i am at 90fps 1080p its enough for me, i played 30 hrs without any issues. (settings high/ and med/low for shadows)

Average maybe, but not at a stable 60 fps. You will drop to under 50 fps on the yellow plains just outside your plains base camp.

im playin in 1440p with all high and i have 3070 with 32 gb ram and 12700kf as cpu. With nvidia dlss on quality i can get 60 fps steady, with amd fsr3 and frame gen 90ish fps.

I'm playing with a 3070 Ti.

Both Low or High settings all give me 30-50FPS, nothing helps outside of using a custom config file that removes a crazy amount of graphical settings and makes everything look like a potato, you can find that on Nexus Mods. Even with that it's 40-60FPS. It's just clearly not optimized at all even though the devs claim it is.

The majority of areas were fine for me and very playable. The game is fun. But once I hit the later areas in low rank, the FPS drop was quite unbearable which required me to use said config file.

This likely won't be PC optimized for a year like I've heard was the same for he previous game.
Sure, with framegen and at 1080p. Yours is above the recommended system, so you can probably even go above the average graphics settings too

My wife bought the game on similar specs after setting expectations that I wouldn't personally expect a good experience. She finds it...fine. You're gonna have to likely use DLSS while playing with an end output of 1080p and you're likely going to have to use frame gen to keep visual stuttering mitigated. I would expect 50s-60s of base framerate before FG. If that sounds fine to you, then there you go.

I have a 5800x + 3070 and struggled to maintain a smooth 60 FPS at the defaulted 1080p high. I was getting around 55ish average with very frequent and jarring dips. For the first few hours I just capped my frame rate at 45. After some tweaking I ended up turning off DLSS and using AMD FSR + frame gen instead. It's so much more playable now. In addition to that, I applied the settings suggested in this guide and it helped a ton more: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3436498764

With FSR AI, frame gen in 4K easy.

here is mine
my rig AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor 3.70 GHz
32.0 GB RAM
GeForce RTX 3070 8GB

Never staggers, never crashed, 60 fps the whole time.
Currently doing 4k FSR med graphics on my laptop 3070 70-80 fps, you'll be good. Just stay away from DLSS it works like crap for some reason
