Do the optimization issues exist on PS5 as well?

I've watched really good reviews on this game, but I'm curious if the optimization issues only exist on PC or if this is across the board? I'm still working through the other games, but do plan on buying it at some point. Does someone here own it on PS5 that can speak to this? Thanks.

According to my Ps5 yes, it’s not as bad as on Pc but there are still fps drops and random network issues.

Thanks. I suspect when it's time for me to buy it, everything will be ironed out. I just stared MHW and have to get through that, Iceborne, Rise and then Sunbreak. That's a lot of Monster Hunter content.

PS5 with good graphics is locked at 30 FPS, the difference is that PC gamers don't like 30 FPS

Well there is a performance mode that runs at 60FPS, which is what most console players prefer.

No it isn't. It has different modes--one of which is performance mode that runs at 60FPS.

Look at how performance mode looks though. Like a late PS2/early PS3 game at best. Even resolution mode which is capped at 30fps is running at 972p lol

PS5/PS5 pro is sadly stuck with only TAA so the game kinda looks like someone smudge vaseline where there normally would be jaggies

60fps while making serious compromises still falls well short of what a lot of PC players expect out of a game.

Probably less so since the PS5 version does not have all the layers of DRM, but make no mistake, the PS5 version in performance mode looks terrible.

Oh, that's not good. Not in 2025. And graphics aren't even that great in balanced or resolution mode. Why does this game have so much trouble? Is it the open world or something? These graphics are 10 years old at best,

In general yes compared to a high/mid end gaming PC the PS5 performances are garbage. For this game it's even worse but hey go ahead enjoy your sub 720p upscaled to 4k with 40fps average and low settings.
