use basic attacks (lmb/rmb), hold R to charge up, release when ready, and it should get you to the next meter
you can up the color in three ways hold the button to charge and crescent slash afterward.
Pop a wound.
Build meter and combo to crescent slash.
So the question is what is giving you difficulty? Like do you keep getting hit during the combo, are you not poping wounds or are you having a hard time timing when to charge verse attack?

Pope wounds since monster moves so much when I do hit it they don’t pop not sure how many hits , 2nd when I charge about to spin never move to red meter or get hit by monster . I saw you can do counters to go up in meter but it seems so hard to pull

if you practice spirit slash (R+RMB) to spirit roundhouse slash (+LMB) , you ll get to next bar instantly. Also you ll get invincibility during it.

it requires timing tho, its the only hard part of using a LS. countering. i was countering very well in world and rise but due to fps problems here, im average.

I still do good timing on monsters without it but I want to experience red meter not just in practice arena lol

What will be easiest way to create it realistically in a fight

Just need to hit the wound once with Focus Attack: Unbound Thrust It's L2 + R1 on an xbox controller it'll give 1 level for each wound so easy to go straight to red with it.
Timing the counter takes practice good to get used to but takes time, its more important to learn the easier ways first I think then to aim for counter timing when your starting out.

Cool I will try also found on YouTube a guy demonstrate how it all works in a live fight so now I understand what I need to practice to get those red meters .
If you got a second I'll get in-game and show you how to get it done in a hunt. But basically you open your fight with a full charge to instantly get to white before the monster sees you, two over heads and a snap to fill combo gauge and then full combo into yellow, repeat to get to red and then combo out red until you have wounds spirit thrust combo back to white then Unbound Thrust instantly back to red.

We'll best of luck, I'm sure with some youtube guidance you'll have it down anyway.

This is quite literally the definition of "skill issue", I hate to be that guy. Hitting red meter without losing dps takes some practice. You can do the long winded R2 spam and eventually get there, but counters and wound popping will get you there faster.
You just have to get used to the movesets, monster attacks and your own timings.
If you see yourself getting knocked around too much then try using the Rocksteady mantle (but be careful, you can get burst down to 0HP in an instant)

Just counter lol.

If that didn't work out, you can always use the tried and true normal combo.
Or the new wound focus attack can raiser your bar by 1 per wound.

Seriously tho, LS is all about that counter then dump the meter with helmsplitter.
You might want to practice that more since it's going to be your bread and butter.

By the time you're yellow, you absolutely have a wound on the monster, focus stab it and you go red.

The Wound system is honestly a massive buff for Hunters in general. For LS users it's easy meter while staggering monster at the same time.
found this video for those who stuggle like me . its really made me see how it works in combat
